Going well: Handled well, the type achieves reciprocal attraction. They keep a receptive hollow for mutual influence, ensuring that their social openness draws people in while inner conviction stays intact.
Understudy (too much control): The mountain stays full of itself and refuses the lake. The social face never goes on, keeping values hidden and leaving social fluency rehearsed but unused.
Spill (too little control): Gone slack, the register spills: the rehearsed warmth leaks out as though it were the real conviction, half-formed and passed off as proven, and approval replaces the private standard.

The trial (Se)
The trial is the present moment demanding commitment to one body, one physical reality, rather than deferral to the next possibility; the Explorer who learns to act now (show up, inhabit the moment) has engaged the catalyst.
The trap
When possibility (Ne) joins execution (Te) without the check of private conviction (Fi), imagination turns into a production schedule: launches and campaigns without the care that made them matter, or burnout from chasing sheer impact.
Under pressure
Sprays ideas and identities faster; commits to none; then primitive Si (the archive) erupts as hypochondria, comfort-rituals, and mournful cataloguing of how things used to be.
Growth
The typical order of development: build the auxiliary, receive the inspiring, contain the nemesis, and engage the trial that matures the primitive. The failure loop runs on rare, extreme contact; growth keeps the contact frequent and mild, so nothing builds up to erupt.
auxiliary: Practice Fi (private conviction) as craft: the care under the branches, fewer causes kept with deeper loyalty.
inspiring: Let Te (execution) come as a well you dig: public structure that outlasts the spark. Structure does not have to turn care into a factory.
nemesis: When Ti (strict definition) demands consistency, take the check that protects the dream. Refusing every cold question costs as much as letting pedantry kill imagination.
catalyst: Stay in Se (present contact) for this hour: the dinner, the deadline, the person in front of you.

Not to be confused with
- ENTP: Both Ne-dominant; the Explorer is driven by whimsical personal sentiment (Fi: joy and empathy for the overlooked), the Advocate by logical fairness (Ti, the neglected case). Pamphlets versus proceedings.
- INFP: Same temperament: the Explorer expands outward through possibilities toward deeds; the Idealist descends inward through possibilities toward the one guarded dream.
